Dom Serrano, they/them, is a second-year doctoral student in clinical psychology at Mount Saint Mary’s University. They are a child of immigrants from Honduras and El Salvador. Their lived experience has been shaped by their identity as a disabled, queer, non-binary Latinx person existing within academia. Their work in community mental health and service-centered fields, their study of ethics, and their lived experience have informed a decolonial perspective. Their aim for research is to work within community to serve community.
